Please help us
The more people who attend our GFest events this year, the more the local community benefits. All profits are shared between local organisations, groups and charities, so please help by liking our page and sharing our posts.
A celebration of our community
GFest is our chance for Gnosall to come together and showcase the talent, businesses and organisations that make our village so great. We'll be raising money for some inspiring local causes, too – so you can party with a purpose! Enjoy live music, a variety of delicious food stalls, fun activities and much more.
The first GFest was held in the summer of 2011 and was so successful they have been repeated biennially since then with some popular events repeated each time and some new events included at each of the festivals
The purpose of GFest is to celebrate local talent, using local services and facilities and it is quite clear that Gnosall has many talented residents – artists, cooks, bakers, gardeners, photographers, runners, crafters, singers and entertainers and so much more.
The village is fortunate as it has a lot of publicly accessible open spaces and many venues where people can meet as well as the Shropshire Union Canal, Millennium Way (former railway line), parks, sports areas, a wetland and churches.
Events are planned and managed to include all the community spaces and buildings and to attract all residents. Some of the funds raised at festivals are distributed to local groups and organisations to support projects and some funds are retained to support future festivals.
14-16 July 2023
GFest 2023 is also delighted to include CFest, Gnosall's very own unique festival of boats, set on the tranquil canal water that runs through our village.
This 3-day community festival celebrates everything about our waterways. Take a boat trip, browse and shop at the moored boats selling gifts, souvenirs and gourmet food. Learn about our local canals and why they are so important to our community's history and heritage, and explore historic working boats that are open to the public.
Organised by Gnosall Towpath Restoration group, and in association with Gnosall Parish Council, there's so much to explore. Festival garden music, entertainment and refreshments are throughout the weekend.
